The unit has fully encapsulated electronics (IP67 rated) and prevents the ingress of water and dust particles

The reader’s bezel is continuously backlit to offer greater visibility in poor light. The backlight has 4 user settable light intensities and an “off” mode which can be set using the “Dimmer Card”

While passive the reader glows blue. Once a token is presented the halo effect changes colour to denote access permission, green for granted and red for denied.
The Marine Reader is capable of long read ranges when used with a hands free interface and tokens. A convenient feature for quick and simple access or when it’s physically awkward to present tokens!
